Executive Director

Captain (CPT) Seth Seaton was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on 19 August 1985. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 2004, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Arkansas Tech University in 2009, a Master of Science in Education in 2012, and a Specialized Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2019.

CPT Seaton began his career teaching music at Academics Plus Charter School in Maumelle, Arkansas, where he developed the K–8 general music program and beginning band, and founded the Academics Plus Music Society. In 2012, he became Director of Bands and Choirs at Bigelow High School, serving until 2016.

He enlisted in the Arkansas Army National Guard in 2013, completed Basic Combat Training (2014), Officer Candidate School (2015), and Infantry Basic Officer Leaders Course (2016). His service includes deployment to El Salvador in 2017 with the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, roles as S3 Operations Officer and S4 Logistics Officer, command of Headquarters and Headquarters Company at Camp Robinson, and a 2023 deployment to Germany supporting partner-nation training during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

In November 2025, CPT Seaton founded the Republic Institute and currently serves as its Executive Director at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees.

Director of School Curriculum

Molly E. MacDonald is an experienced elementary special education teacher with over eight years of dedicated service in Fairfax County Public Schools. She specializes in teaching students with multiple disabilities, particularly in self-contained Enhanced Autism programs. Known for her patience, organization, leadership, and crisis resolution skills, Molly is passionate about helping every student reach their fullest potential through individualized instruction, sensory exploration, multimodal communication, and hands-on learning. She is a strong advocate for students and their families.

Molly earned a Master of Education from George Mason University (2024) and a Bachelor of Psychology from High Point University (2017). Since January 2018, she has served as a Multiple Disabilities Teacher at Silverbrook Elementary School, leading the Primary Enhanced Autism Program for kindergarten through third-grade students. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction, managing behavior, integrating assistive technology, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families.

She holds a Virginia Teaching License in Special Education and General Curriculum (K–12), Professional Crisis Management (PCM) Practitioner Level 1 certification, and ABA Beginning Hands-On Training. Her commitment has been recognized with a SEPTA Outstanding Special Education Teacher nomination (2024–2025), the Silverbrook Elementary Rocky Award (2022–2023), and multiple commendations for excellence in IEP facilitation and classroom leadership.

Molly MacDonald brings deep expertise, compassion, and professionalism to special education, creating supportive environments where students with diverse needs thrive.
